Mrs, Seigel was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia and began studying music when she was in 4th grade at Holland Elementary School. Soon after, at the age of 10, she began taking private guitar lessons. During her high school career, she added piano lessons to her schedule, and became a teacher’s aide in the guitar program at Council Rock High School prior to graduation. Majoring in Music Education at West Chester University, Mrs. Seigel‘s focus instrument was Classical Guitar with concentrations in studio piano, vocal studies, and trumpet. During her time at West Chester, she performed and participated in many musical ensembles. Mrs. Seigel joined the staff at Delsea Regional in the Fall of 1989. At the time she was the Choral Director for both the Middle and High Schools. Since there was no Middle School Music Curriculum, Mrs.Seigel designed this and has expanded upon it as the program at Delsea has grown. Over the years, she has continued to write curricula and design lessons for the Choral and Exploratory Music Programs. Mrs. Seigel is now full time at Delsea Middle School where she enjoys teaching the Chorus and both the 7th and 8th grade Exploratory Music Classes. When she is not in her classroom, Mrs. Seigel can often be found, running, biking, doing CrossFit or enjoying time with her husband, Andrew, and her two children, –Jessica and Brandon.
