Band Staff

Vincent S. Du Beau, Director

2014-09-06 20.12.43Mr. Du Beau has been involved with marching bands for nearly 20 years in various capacities. These include serving as the director for marching bands at Paulsboro High School, Middle Township High School, and six seasons as an assistant director with the Crusaders prior to taking the helm for the 2016 season. He was also on staff with the IUP Legend Marching Band while in graduate school and has worked with and written shows for area bands.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Jon Hunt, Assistant Director

1929181_1121371520215_1106309_nMr. Hunt is excited to join the Marching Crusaders after instructing the activity for 12 years at Clearview Regional and consulting with several other marching units in the South Jersey region. In 2008, he received his Bachelors in Music Education and began teaching full time for Cherry Hill Schools as a band teacher, choral teacher, and general music teacher K-12. Currently, Jon is a father of two and resides in Laurel Springs with his wife Angelica. Jon also runs a small DJ business out of his home doing parties, dances, fundraisers, banquets, and weddings across the tri-state area.

Tyler Steinbronn, Percussion

Tyler is a graduate of Vineland High School. He marched Drumline all four years of his high school career and was awarded many musicianship and leadership awards from the band directors during that time. In 2014 Tyler became assistant Drumline/Percussion Vineland High School. As a student at Rowan University, Tyler has spent two years studying classical percussion under Professor Dean Witten. Tyler is currently a Music Industry Major specializing in Music Technology and Audio Recording at Rowan University. “Don’t HIT the drums… PLAY the drums…” 

 

Valerie Moone (’91), Color Guard

Val is a graduate of Delsea Regional, Class of 1991. She marched with the Crusaders 1987-1991 under former director Mr. Steve White. She marched with the Southern Knights Drum and Bugle Corp and has served as a color guard instructor at various times in recent years. Her most recent band was Egg Harbor Township where she worked for several years before  the full-time guard instructor in 2015-2016.

John Rilley, Color Guard

John has been teaching color guard for the past 20 years. He has served as the caption head for several marching bands and has also choreographed and designed indoor color guard shows. John has marched in two independent color guards, one season with Wysteria and two seasons with The Black Watch.

 
Libby Ando, Marching and Music Tech

12109147_10156772587530314_118987521263945556_nLibby is studying music education at Rowan University, with a concentration on French Horn. In the past, Libby has performed with distinguished ensembles such as the Philadelphia Young Artist Orchestra, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and the Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps. Libby has been involved in the marching arts since 2009, and knows they will be a huge part of her life forever.
